Startup:
Send a short liaison Action
Plan to Dr.
Austin. Include:
- Conferences you
plan to attend in the next 12 months
- Classes you will
be taking/teaching in the next 12 months (if applicable)
- Possible professional/academic
contacts that would be interested in knowing more about OBM.
- Newsletters/peer-reviewed
journals in your specialty area that could be venues for
OBM articles/promotions.
- List possible
sources of help with liaison work (recruit students at own
college, faculty at other colleges)
Have link on personal/faculty/business
webpage(s) to obmnetwork.com
Yearly (complete
at least 2 of last three tasks):
Submit an update of
the work the liaison has done for a period of one year. Due
May 1st. Published on web or in Newsletter.
Write a "success
story of OBM application" or "What is OBM?" for
newsletter(s) in own discipline. OR: Write
one success story of OBM application in liaison's specialty
area for OBM newsletter/website
Solicit one OBM-related
article for Newsletter, website or JOBM from a professional/academic
in liaison's area.
Attend OBM Network
Business Meeting at ABA Conference, and present on year's progress.
Teaching related:
Include OBM membership
forms in all coursepacks.
Get ABA faculty at
college to include OBM membership forms in coursepacks.
Conferences:
Bring membership forms
to conferences. Hand out or leave at designated places for
commercial material.
If organizing a conference:
Include membership forms/advertisements in conference package.
Optional:
Organize workshops
on OBM in specialty area for local businesses/service agencies
Bring OBM specialists
to liaison's college for colloquia, presentations, etc.
