  • 2009 FABA-OBM
    Mark your calendars! The 12th Bi-Annual Meeting of the Organizational Behavior Management Network is scheduled for February 19th and 20th, 2009 at the Cocoa Beach Hilton in Cocoa Beach, Florida. The conference will once again be hosted by the Florida Association for Behavior Analysis and will include cutting-edge presentations in the areas of performance management, behavior-based safety, systems analysis, and technology-related innovations in organizational behavior management. The Cocoa Beach Hilton is an oceanfront resort within 45 minutes of the Orlando International Airport and within an hour of the central Florida attractions (e.g., Walt Disney World, Universal Studios, Sea World). The Cocoa Beach Hilton operates a shuttle from the Orlando airport to the resort.
  • Membership Year
    The OBMN membership year has been changed from November through October to January through December.  This means you will get a few extra months of membership in this year.
  • New Journal
    ABA is publishing a new journal entitled, "Behavior Analysis in Practice." The journal emphasizes techniques for practitioners and OBM research is welcome.  Learn more about the journal here: http://www.abainternational.org/journals.asp
  • Job Announcement – Appalachian State University
    The Department of Psychology at Appalachian State University invites applications for a tenure-track position at the rank of assistant professor beginning in August, 2007 in the area of Industrial Organizational Psychology. Successful applicants will be expected to provide instruction and mentoring at both the undergraduate and graduate levels. Preference will be given to candidates who are committed to excellence in teaching and mentoring of students, who have a well-developed research agenda, and who would make a substantial contribution to the Industrial Organizational/Human Resource Management MA program.  Instructional duties may include on-line instruction and/or instruction at off-campus sites. Scholarly duties include publication, thesis supervision, and a willingness to seek external funding to support research.  This is a 9-month position with opportunities for summer teaching. Appointment is contingent upon completion of all requirements for the doctoral degree in psychology.

Appalachian State University is a member institution of the sixteen-campus University of North Carolina System. Located in Boone, North Carolina, the University has approximately 15,000 students and has been ranked by US News and World Report as one of the top 15 among southern regional universities since 1986. The Department has 30 full-time doctoral level faculty members, approximately 600 undergraduate majors and 100 full-time graduate students in four master’s degree programs including the MA/ Specialist program in School Psychology.
